These are the images taken of the stained glass windows in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, LA.
While the church was one of the earliest Catholic churches established, there have been a few buildings that have served as home for the parish. The current church was built in 1911, which is about the same time that the stained glass windows were created in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Initially, there were numerous murals decorating the vaulted ceiling but were painted over in the renovations following a fire in the church in the mid-1980's. The murals have been added back to the ceiling during the church renovation of 2009.
I'll begin working on the images of the murals soon and will add those to the stained glass images album.
Please feel free to pass the album link on to other family and friends who may like to view the images.
